New sweater #1
Yesterday was my last day at Philippa's flat.  In the morning we went to Brick Lane, a trendy street filled with vintage stores.  I bought two awesome sweaters!  Philippa and I had a blast playing dress-up.  Soon it was time for me to say "goodbye" to Philippa's flat, but we are meeting up again later in the week.  I packed up my bag and took the tube to Stanmore, where my cousin Juliette lives.

Juliette lives in a gorgeous house about 30-minutes outside of central London.  She made a lovely Shabbat dinner and I met her children and grandchildren.  That night I finished the book I was reading: "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo".  I am very impressed that Stieg Larrson came up with such a complicated story, but I don't like thrillers and the book was too disturbing for me.

Today Juliette took me to Camden Market, a funky market in Camden that occupies old horse stables.  There were beautiful metal horse sculptures throughout the market and hundreds of vendors.  For lunch we stopped at a vegetarian cafe before driving to Covent Garden.

Juliette showed me around Covent Garden, a high end shopping district in Central London.  There were street performers, shops and more street vendors.  We were still full from lunch but had an evening snack of granola, fruit and yogurt (my favourite) at a cafe.  We were in a rush, though, because we were seeing... DIRTY DANCING THE MUSICAL!

Dirty Dancing was absolutely amazing!  One of the best musicals I have seen.  It was different than any I  know, because there wasn't much singing.  But there was a lot of dancing!  And the singing that was there was phenomenal. What a special treat!
